RTV Silicone Black

RTV Silicone Black is a low volatile high-temperature gasket maker that can be used on metal, glass, ceramics, wood, rubber and most plastics. As an instant gasket maker, it replaces a wide range of cork, paper, asbestos, felt and metal gaskets. It’s ideal for forming in-place gaskets for: oil and transmission pans, oil and water pumps, valve and timing chain covers, electric motors and electrical control boxes, gear boxes, compressors, machine covers. RTV Silicone Black was specifically designed for all oxygen sensor equipped vehicles. It’s also suitable for use wherever a strong, permanently elastic weatherproof adhesive, sealant, or caulk is needed. RTV Silicone Black has excellent adhesion characteristics and high chemical resistance. It remains permanently flexible and will not shrink, crack, crumble or dry out due to severe temperature extremes. Note: Paint will not adhere to cured material. Not recommended for use on cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, intake manifolds, carburetors, or continuous immersion in gasoline.
